I'll be playing music for my pepper plant, but dont really know what kind of music I should play for it.

for context, im part of the environmental society in my college. we grew some pepper seeds from the teachers pepper plant at home. None survived. Not even the ones I had taken home. (Cat ate them, the bastard.) come to find out recently, hidden among the plants in her biology classroom, there was one left. One survivor. a warrior. ive inherited this pepper. It's grown to about 8cm so far. i will do everything in my power to keep this thing alive. So I want to put to the test if music really does make plants stronger, which, I've heard it does.

So, what music has worked for you? which genres should I avoid?

It's only grown 3 true leaves after its first true leaf. I know the support may not be necessary….. but it looks nice.

Last picture also has the culprit to which my previous peppers met their demise.

Mythbusters did this. Heavy metal music made it go ballistic. Strongly recommend Mastodon, Tool, Motörhead, Black Sabbath, all your classic bands. Subwoofer required.

I remember when Mythbusters tested this. It seems counterintuitive, but metal music worked the best…haha! Play some Metallica, Jinjer, Slayer, Motorhead and such. Don’t play classical. Apparently plants don’t really respond to it in the growing faster kind of way.

  3. Just “Who let the dogs out” on loop. Not even the full song, just that one line.
