I’m definitely not an expert, but this does not look like lavender. I have no idea what this is. I bought this BURPEE Lavender Lady packet back in January, and planted around that time too. The sprouts looked right compared to what I would look up, but then the more it grew the less right it looked. I will say, I did take this dirt from a random pot I had outside, so I get that something else probably came with it.

Edit: Sorry forgot to add location, GA

Chickweed and henbit. Two common weeds.

Editing to add: They probably did not come from the seed pack. They were probably already in the soil.

Smash a leaf. If it is lavender, you will smell it. Looks weedy, you can remove the real lavender plants and discard the rest.

If it has no scent, it is not lavender.
I would grow out the mystery plants and see what you get.

Complain to burpee. You may send. the real seeds.

Lavender needs 2 to 4 weeks of mandatory cold treatment to germinate. The seeds are there.
Put the whole thing in the freezer for 2 weeks. They should germinate.

    None of that is lavender.

I have not had success with it from seed, or rosemary. Its better for me to get starts when I need them.

Looks like herb Robert and chickpea to me – I am in England.

Henbit and another common spring weed. The lavender seeds didn’t germinate. You’re better off, MUCH better off buy lander thyme rosemary and thyme plants than you ever will attempting to grow from seed. You can prop from cuttings or in the case of oregano and thyme, divisions of existing plants to make more or have back up plants to winter over. Herbs to grow from seed: Basil, Cilantro, Dill, Mexican Mint Marigold, Parsley, Chamomile, Borage.

Burpee seeds we have used have a poor germination rate compared to places like White Harvest, Baker Creek, and Johnny’s.

I don’t know about lavender specifically, some seeds are notoriously hard to start from seeds.
