Spent 6 hrs hand-popping dandelions out of the garden beds and walkways…now my hands are killing me, my knife needs sharped, but the gardener in me found great pleasure in the length of this root, so I’m sharing it with people who might understand that feeling of satisfaction.
Suggestions for organic dandelion control welcome, really, my hands hurt and I’m getting too old for this.

Congratulations!
I use a kettle and an extension cord on walkways. Boiling water cleans weeds out for good. The next weeds will come from new seeds.

I cultivate them myself, they’re incredibly useful and healthy! Plus, they taste delicious in salads.

harvest before it flowers. The flower consumes the root and other nutrients, it taste more bitter too.
