While I’m waiting on everything to get established in the ecosphere, I decided to take some tests to see how the staggered lighting schedule was affecting temps and humidity.

Here is the data from the first Sunset and Sunrise Tests! The pictures are heavily edited for readability’s sake. Let me know if y’all think of any ways I could improve this data or how I take it!

Some other important information –

• AC in apt (window unit in another room) set to Cool-Auto 73F during entirety of tests.

• Overhead in fan in bedroom kept at lowest setting was accidentally turned off during part of sunset test, potentially aiding humidity spike. Further testing with better controls will tell how much this affected the tank.

Whereas I totally appreciate your enthusiasm about this, this falls under the category “Don’t complicate it” :).

To keep it simple, keep the jars out of direct sunlight and good is.

I do not however intent to downplay your efforts here or discourage you from sharing, I’m sure it’ll come in handy for some. I also don’t want to have newbies see this and think they need to know all of that, you know what I mean? Keep sharing!!!
