I wired this tree for the first time today! I know my wiring looks pretty bad – this was only my second time wiring 😅 But I’m happy with how it’s progressed. I got it as a seedling in Idaho 5 years ago but the only old pic I could find is from 2023. It’s about 10” tall now.
Anyone have experience with this species? I’m noticing that most branches have many more nodes on one side than the other. I’m hoping that by twisting the branches a little with the wire, I can create more of an even alternating look.
I’m really not sure what the final design goal is for this one so I’m keeping a lot of branches right now just to have options. Also not sure what size? I could put it in a big pot and let it grow out… 🤔 Thoughts?
