I have had this pothos for about a year. I have not changed its place in my home (it’s hanging in medium indirect light) and has had long beautiful trailing vines.

I water when dry per my moisture meter and the pot is well draining with holes. I water thoroughly and allow it to drain. I fertilize every other water so maybe once a month?

I noticed recently the vines dying from top down. The top will be completely dead and the rest of that vine is healthy with new growth and slowly creeps down.. I’m currently chopping and propping the vines that are dead at the top. Seems a little strange idk.

Any idea? No signs of pests unless this is a sign I don’t know of. I’m considering repotting into a larger pot? I plan on checking the roots tmr.

    No, not dying yet!

It’s probably root bound. Pothos wilt when they’re dry, have yellow leaves when they’re over watered, and if they have both and drop leaves they’re usually root bound. I don’t fertilize more often than once every six months, so that may also be a factor, but it really depends on your preferred fertilizer.

I think a repotting will be a good first step!

ETA; it may also need more light, when mine got bigger they wanted the big south-facing window instead of the smaller north facing window.
