Not sure why this is in this sub but yes, that’s exactly what happened. You didn’t acclimate the cardon slow slowly enough to more sun. But don’t worry it will grow through that and look fine.
Next time put shade cloth on top of it when you move it out to more sun or do it earlier in the season when the sun is not as strong
