Prop help

I got a sad begonia luxurians and I tried everything to save it and sadly, nothing worked. However, a cutting I took has started activating a bunch of growth points in water but no roots?!? Is there something I can do to get it to root? I had it with a pothos cutting that got so rooted it had to be put back in the pot. I tried adding VERY LOW dose fertilizer but that doesn’t seem to help. Should I take off the crispy leaf? I just want this beautiful plant!! 😭
