Recovering black thumb here. Took her home because she’s pet friendly and pretty, then found out they’re finicky plants. Oh well here goes.
I took her home on April 1st (outside photo) and the second photo is what she looks like now.
How do I know when she’s thriving Vs not doing well?

If you take care of it yes
I got the same plant as my first plant ever (without knowing they’re finicky). Not only did I not kill it, it’s actually growing more leaves! They need a decent amount of indirect bright light, distilled water only and humidity is what I’ve learned. Good luck!
These usually decline in the cooler months- a lot to do with humidity. Mine was luscious for like 3 month before taking a massive dump. She has 3 1/2 leaves and 3 new ones coming in tho.
If shes not doing well, she will LET you know. LOL. Yellowing leaves right away.
Ensure high humidity, 50-60%, bright indirect light, if it’s too bright her leaves will burn.
They’re picky about watering, and prefer rain or diffused water at most.
Water when top 1-2 inches of soil are drying out, and be sure to keep the soil moist. Not wet, but like a good moist cake or even like how moss feels… if that makes sense.
You can use lightweight pebbles at the bottom or moss to help retain moisture in the soil.
They’re also very sensitive to changes in their roots, so when repotting be very mindful and touch and disrupt them as little as possible. Yes the mysterious bulbs in the roots are normal.
