  1. So fun to see your excitement! Congratulations on such a great harvest. Oh, and I talk to myself in the garden too.😂

  2. Congratulations on a great harvest. Did you end up getting some galangal from Green Dreams? You need to make some fermented garlic honey with some of your garlic.

  3. Your garlic didn't divide probably because you don't get enough cold weather during winter it needs enough cold weather to divide, I'm not positive but I don't think it will divide once it's that large, but I could be wrong. curious to see if they will actually divide after getting that large, doesn't seem like that's possible but you will find out. I never have had mine not divide but I live in western Washington and get enough cold weather. Keep us posted on results. Those large bulbs are awesome.

  4. This is so cool! I didn’t get to plant garlic this year cuz I moved in September and we couldn’t get the garden beds in at the new house in time so I’m loving watching other peoples harvests. I’m gonna try to have garlic next year tho. I’m so excited.

  5. Can garlic become ready for harvest at different times? I have a row of about 12 Sicilian artichoke but 2-3 look like your elephant garlic 😅 could those two be ready or is it more likely they aren’t going to make it?

  6. For the variety with the scapes you need to cut the scapes off for the garlic to really bulb up. You can eat the scapes themselves also. They have a garlic flavor and you can chop them up or dry them and make into a powder also.

  7. I just bought your gardening ebook. Thanks for writing it. I just browsed it quick and I’m so glad to see how you listed seed starting times and planting months. That has been my biggest challenge.

  8. You can also make fermented garlic. It’s absolutely delicious!
Great harvest! I’m looking forward to getting mine up when they are ready.

  9. I harvested my elephant garlic this week…I also thought it was too early, but each plant had three or four huge cloves. I also had scapes on all of them over a month ago. This was only my second year growing it, so I’m excited. Last year I didn’t get cloves. I’m in south Louisiana zone 9B.

  10. I harvested mine this week too! I began seeing a problem I've had before. It's called "witch brooming". Have you heard of it? I've read that its from weather fluctuations or too much nitrogen. They are edible but don't store long term. I plan to dehydrate and make garlic powder with them and freeze some. I hope I have enough that are okay to braid. Yours look great!❤

  11. I love your top. Where did you get it? I'm in FL zone 9b. Because of the cold snap, I'm about a month behind you on my garlic harvst.

  12. Ok, I'm gonna recheck my garlic tomorrow morning. Lol. Congratulations on the beautiful harvest! You have cracked the code. I hyped your video!

  13. Yes!!! Awesome harvest 😀 it’s so exciting to see how well they did! I can’t wait for next season

  14. Looks great! This is a timely video for me, I pulled some garlic before the rain, but wish I had gotten all the i red out. It was so nice to get 1-1/2" rain! But I hope it doesn't split the remaining bulbs… I'll pull the rest and see. I have some mystery (grocery store) varieties that the tops still look good on, and the elephant garlic I have looks like yours too, not as good as in past years…. Keep up the good work!

  15. I planted both my garlic and onions in late October. This morning I went out and checked both because I was starting to see some flowering. Some also have dying leaves. I’m worried that I may have planted a little too deep. Some are a raised bed. Others are in my Greenstalk. A small few are in a pot because I ran out of space. They look great, even after all of our north Florida cold snaps.

  16. Do you do the same process with onions? My onions are splitting. The escapes didn’t fall over and it’s starting to flower. I don’t know if it’s all this rain we’ve been having lately. But I don’t want them to rot.

  17. Chào bạn, bạn chia sẻ tuyệt vời quá. Rất vui đồng hành cùng kênh bạn nha❤❤❤

  18. I got bulbs but no cloves, still giving some time but my leaves are looking like they have die off. I fear I have low nitrogen, but I am still happy that I had growth in this learning year. Yours look amazing!

  19. Agree with previous on cutting the escapes when they come up you don't want those. They take a lot of energy away from bulb growth. Make a good garlic chive and or green onion substitute
