hello guys,
I'm looking for advice to grow plants above the car. summer is coming and my car cooks in the sun, and it's impossible to work on it without getting burned (I've measured up to more than 70°C on my metallic tools on a sunny day).
the contraints are that the wooden frame we've built at home to make a path for the grapewine is sturdy but not sturdy enough to withstand the wind if I were to put a tarp over it for example.
my idea was to get gutters and put them vertically below the mounts. cut some slices midway through them and fill them with dirt to create room for plants to grow there.
it's Mediterranean climate and it would be blasted with sun all day long.
I also thought about getting gutters to put between the mounts horizontally, and again filled with dirt to bring even more room for the plants.
we've got wisteria growing nearby and I'd believe it'd grow well as well, but do you guys have any recommendations?
do you think it'd work?
bonus points if y'all can think of fruit plants because I'm gonna have grapes hanging above the car and it's pretty cool imo
