The lightest green trees are mine. Everyone else around me has planted red oaks as well but there’s always come out darker green is there something wrong with my trees?
The lighter leaves are new spring growth, they’ll darken with time. When did you last fertilize the tree?

We have never fertilized the tree. It stays relatively lighter green than everyone else’s. It keeps growing though. During the drought, I will use a soaker hose on the drip line for a few hours every couple of weeks.

Spring isnt a great time to judge this, but if yours is lighter year round, it likely is suffering from an Iron and/or Manganese deficiency.
You fix this with a trunk injection of iron and manganese chelates in the late Fall/Winter. The following spring your leaves will be darker. This usually lasts 3+ years.
You cannot fix iron and manganese deficiency easily by fertilizing the soil due to our high pH.
It could also be Nitrogen deficiency, which can be fixed with soil fertilization.
I recommend fully exposing the root flare, mulching the root zone, and possibly sending a soil sample to A&M for analysis.
