first time growing Salvia, after it is done blooming, do I cut the stalks back or just leave them.

    I left mine and it died all the way off and came back this year lol. Not sure if it’s the right thing to do but worked out for me.

    I cut the blooms and they put out new ones – usually no more than 50%. I don’t trim before freezes or when the plant needs to be dormant.

    Most salvias appreciate a trim in late spring or early summer
