Hi y'all – so after working in the music industry my whole adult life, I recently made a major change to pursue working in horticulture.
I was lucky enough to get a job at a plant shop/landscape design company called Green Planet Scapes. I spend my days working directly with plants and talking to customers about plants. It's been an incredibly positive life change.
This is not an ad but I am genuinely trying to help people find out about this place. It's a small local business and it's kind of hidden away on FM-620 near Anderson Mill, not far from 183 (10807 N FM 620).
The owner is a horticulture expert, but I'm going to try to use my experience to do some social media to get the word out so they can keep the staff employed and continue to grow. So I thought I'd start just by sharing with other gardeners.
We have a solid selection of perennials, including natives, really nice annuals flowers, a ton of agave/yucca/manfreda/cacti, shade plants, ground covers, herbs, vegetables, shrubs, trees, soil and everything else you need on a smaller scale than a big box store. Everything is selected to survive in local growing conditions.
My favorite part is the greenhouse. It's peaceful and packed full of houseplants, cool specimens, succulents, gifts, pottery, etc.
I'm here working 9-5 today (Sat). If you have any plant questions or just want to chat please stop by! My name is Tyler. We're also open 12-4 on Sundays and 9-4 during the week, and open til 5pm on Fri and Sat.
Avoid the Home Despot and support local horticulture!
