Should I cut down the middle tree trunk of this magnolia tree to prevent rubbing against the other trunk?


I hate to cut out such a large part of this tree but want to make sure it stays healthy for the long term.

    You’re a little past that point bub.

    Ultimately yes it would be of benefit to remove the middle trunk but it may result in an uneven and visually awkward canopy once it’s gone.
