A town charity that runs a community garden and shed space has received £400 from a housebuilding firm.
Don’t Lose Hope, based in Bourne, provides therapeutic, social and wellbeing support to people of all ages, including through activities in the garden within the Wellhead Park off South Street.
The donation from David Wilson Homes, which is building The Willows development in Bourne, will help the charity continue to provide opportunities for gardening, woodwork, tool projects, social interaction and creative activities.

The aim is to reduce social isolation and the community garden and shed are open throughout the week.
Jenna Maryniak, counsellor and fundraising manager at Don’t Lose Hope, said: “Our Man Shed and Community Garden have become a lifeline for our community, with around 250 people attending each week.
“While our counselling service plays a vital role in helping individuals navigate challenging times, the social support, connection and sense of belonging offered at the shed and garden are equally invaluable.
“These spaces offer more than just activities – they help to create friendships, rebuild confidence and strengthen wellbeing.
“We simply could not continue delivering this remarkable resource without the generosity of our supporters, and we are sincerely grateful to David Wilson Homes for its valued support.”
