Recently moved into a new home and I didn’t know what they had planted in the beds. So wanted to wait and see, but I don’t love what decided to grow and I have no idea what else to plant either. Any ideas?

Flower bed is technically under the overhang but gets approximately 6-8 hours of morning sun

My beds with morning sun until about 2p have salvia greggi, dwarf wax myrtles, muhly, inland sea oat, lantana, Gregg’s mist, silver foot pony that all do well

Greggs mistflower is a solid rec. blanket flower, and blackfoot daisies can also be a good combo, the daisies will spill over the side of the wall if left to grow

  4. Honestly you can grow just about any native in that bed that you want. Ask yourself what height, width, color, style of plant you want and you can really narrow it in. I like doing color schemes. I have a warm color bed with flame acanthus, damianita, scarlet sage, and Mexican honey suckle and a cool color bed with Greg’s mist flower, purple skullcap, blue germander, and snake herb. Grow lower plants like snake herb or bicolor sage up front and taller plants like mealy sage or rock roses in the back. Use a variety of bloom times to keep something flowering all year round.
