Hi
I recently bought this ivy at a local grocery store (3-4 weeks ago) and have been finding these little bugs on the stalks since. I tried showering her and spraying with soap water, but it only removed them temporarily. I ended up cutting the lengths off, hoping most of them will go away. Did I make a mistake? How to I help my plant?

Can you post a clear picture of the bugs? Look like aphids but those aren’t usually hard to wash off.
If you have something like Dr Bronner’s Hemp Castile soap with peppermint available in your area (also try searching horticultural soap) that works wonders on most pests. Dilute it with water, about a teaspoon to a standard 32oz sprayer, and hose her down. It will help physically remove most pests and also kills them with the peppermint oil.
