Hey I started this pile in the fall in Michigan. I can’t seem to get it to heat up. I’ve added a bunch of browns and a bunch of greens and I got it good and wet. I’m at a loss. I don’t know what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

3x3x3 at least, you’re on the right track. Keep it up 😊

Think of it this way. With a small pile, a small volume relative to surface area is sheltered by the pile, allowing it to heat up. You need to raise the unexposed volume by making the pile taller.

This could be a number of things. I would turn it over but create a pyramid. Maybe add a mixture of N/C to kick start the microbes 🙂 good job though
