…and I couldn’t resist. Now I need to make them a new home.

Hopefully they stay perked up. Lately seen clearance on stuff that was out already in the last freeze

Good timing. Buy a lottery ticket today, too!

Even if you lose the flowers, the bulbs are viable, when the flowers go away plant the plant somewhere until the vegetation dies off. Even if it’s just a big Rubbermaid bin full of soil.

Best things about Walmart is they’re too lazy to take care of plants and you can get nice plants pretty cheap sometimes.

Forced bulbs like these usually don’t flower next spring. They will produce foliage though and it’s important to let that foliage die back on its own to store as much energy as possible for the next season. The spring after that you should see flowers again.

Clearance racks are my love language.

I’ve waited at home depot for them.to finish marking them down😂

And at walmart, where i know the vendor (we used to work together in the same department at walmart and now neither of us work directly for Walmart lol) I’ll stand beside her and tell her to hustle up so I can put them in my cart. And I may or may not point at stuff I want and tell her I wouldn’t mind those for cheaper too😂

Congratulations on your adoptions from the plant shelter!

  8. I love hyacinths, the ones I bought last year produced more bulbs this year I went from 1 to 3! , I kept mine in the same pot year round. Since I have more bulbs now I’m waiting for the foliage to die down so I can separate them.

This is my hack for cheap plants. Get them on clearance and pop them in the ground. Some come back some don’t, but worth a shot for 50% off

Yes! I love buying these on clearance and planting them. I’ve cultivated quite a nice little plot of early spring flowers from clearance plants that are past their prime.

Good deal! I always get my perennials from the Lowes when they mark them for clearance after they flower for the season.

I took my 3yo to Lowe’s and he picked that yellow flowering perennial. When we planted it a bee flew up to him and he said “The bees said thank you”

You can tell your partner they were on clearance, but you are amongst friends here, we understand
