A new independent boutique festival is set to launch later this month in east Suffolk.
Uncanny Valley festival is going to be held at Toms Wood near Woodbridge between April 23 and 25.
The festival features a mix of alternative art, immersive theatre and live music.
The event has been created by organiser Tim Bradford, who developed the idea from a small charity gathering in his father’s garden that raised funds for St Elizabeth’s Hospice, who cared for Mr Bradford’s mum before she passed.

Now relocated to Toms Wood on the Wilford Peninsula and limited to just 899 attendees, the expanded festival keeps its intimate feel while introducing unusual attractions such as electric hamster racing, the Suffolk Slug Wrestling Invitational and a handmade arcade of physical games.
Four bespoke venues will host the programme, ranging from a pub-style stage to a woodland sound system installation, alongside spaces inspired by the organiser’s family life, including a tea room named after a beloved peacock and a dance area dedicated to two goats.
The line-up features artists including Beans on Toast, Chris Liberator and Seas of Mirth, alongside a selection of local acts from across the East Anglian music scene.

Mr Bradford said: “The Uncanny Valley is my pride and joy.
“Honestly, two years ago, I would never have believed I’d be doing this right now. The previous Uncanny Valley happened because the East Anglian festival community basically carried me through it.
“So many people came out to help, and they all had an absolutely amazing time!
“I’ve never seen so many smiling faces, and seeing our previous venue, my dad’s garden, transformed, was an utterly exhilarating feeling!

“A lot of this is about taking my mum’s spirit forward.
“She’s the one who taught me how to host, look after the people who aren’t having the best time, and make sure everyone feels included.
“That’s what we’re building here. A scruffy, warm, slightly unhinged woodland where adults end up playing like kids again.

“This year, everything is bigger. We have more people, more artists, more spaces, and more fun!
“We promise an interesting, exciting, enlightening and invigorating 3 days to start the festival season off with!”
Tickets are priced between £108 and £128, with campervan passes available.
