  1. The pond area is stunning! And that's in the rain! Laura, did you EVER think it would be so dazzling?🥰

  2. Vanilla planifolia is the orchid used to produce vanilla pods. It's generally grown as an ornamental and kept small because it's a huge climber and it's hard to get pods.
It loves year round heat and hates any cold at all.

  3. Your parents' store, Anders Seed Co., is pure eye candy!
I would shop there for the extra nourishment to my soul!!

The houseplants are verdant, Spring! Life-giving!

  4. Perennials in 4” pots!? Sure wish growers in my area offered that size! Love a tour at Andrew’s. I may not be able to shop there but I get tons of ideas, so thanks for that, Laura and Susan! ♥️

  5. LOVE going to the Garden Center! We don't have all the color and growth yet in Mi. The tour is just a feast for the eyes and soul… 💐

  6. As a magazine collector, to my grown sons' shame for some reason (not intrusive!) — Anders Seed Co. has such beautiful displays, this must be in a magazine spread!!
    Like "VICTORIA", or "Cottage Journal"!

    Absolutely brilliant displays. Yummy.
The plants are set off to their OPTIMUM best show — filled with life!

  7. Customers always come first at Andrews! Susan did not hesitate a second to offer assistance to a customer even though she was mid-sentence in filming a video. Thank you for sharing.

  8. I’m sure someone has already helped with different cactus leaves and identifying factors. Here is my understanding: Thanksgiving is the most common with pointy leaves and often mislabeled as Christmas cactus. The true Christmas cactus has scalloped leaves and Easter cactus has not as deeply scalloped leaves that are hairy. Your mom’s glass half full view on everything is refreshing.

  9. Easter cactus are actually a rhipsalis and not the same species as the other holiday cactus. You can tell by leaves but flower looks more like a daisy that the others.

  10. Hi Laura, the monstera mint with the least variegation would be a better one to choose, if the fully variegated one doesn’t develop any green it will eventually plop its clogs with no chlorophyll.
Beautiful garden centre, would love to have a walk round in person but I’m in the uk so a little far away to pop down.

  11. If ponding lasts more than 48 hours there are most likely two problems, an improperly graded surface and/or compacted ground reducing infiltration.

  12. You guys are so funny with the rain! I can relate though. I now live in NY, where I get alot of rain; however, I grew up in NM, so I totally get how happy you are with the rain. When I first moved to VT from out west, I took so many photos of the ferns which grow wild everywhere!

  13. oooooooh!!!!! the pond in the rain and that view with the tree centered!!!! I want that Unexpected unordered pot you picked up first !!

  14. The Beauty Berry is a native in zone 8B Deep South Mississippi. They go wild and as an under story plant right at the base of trees.

  15. 😂 yeah we just had a spring flood with nine inches coming down.
But it is fun to watch you guys get some 😊 and your reactions
