Something feels off, what am I missing?

using leaf litter is really important because it helps create a natural, safe layer over the substrate. it keeps them from having direct contact with soil or loose substrate, which is important since they absorb things through their skin and shouldn’t be dirty.

moss should be avoided in these setups. while it’s often used in other reptile or amphibian enclosures, it holds too much moisture and can easily push humidity higher than what these frogs need (30-40% humidity). it also poses an impaction risk if ingested, especially since they may accidentally grab it while feeding. keeping the enclosure dry with proper leaf litter instead of moss helps maintain the correct environment and keeps them safer overall.

i would also add some more perches onto the glass. what’s your temp and humidity reading at?

Is that grass in the bottom? If so i would remove it and replace with leaf litter and other less fertilizer hungry tropical plants

Some hides on the ground and up higher would be good.

  4. That frog suction cup soap dish

    Jk

    (But not really)

Genuinely, top comment covers all of it. But if you want perches the froggy suction cup dish is always an option…

Misting system. More plants. Bigger water supply down below.

Edit: No misting system – my bad.

Love the wood in the middle. Where’d you get it?
