I know this is more of a gardening sub, but a huge oak branch just fell into my yard. I wanna try to repurpose it, but I'm not handy, I don't have tools. Does anyone here want to work on a project together? Or just want the log?
If no one comes forward with any project ideas I’ve been looking for some oak to try to grow mushrooms up in Round Rock! Happy to coordinate taking some (or all?) of it off your hands!

I think that’s a Cedar Elm, no?

Upon further review this is a Cedar Elm, not Oak

I’d also be interested in taking a log off your hands try to grow mushrooms as well. We’d be happy to help but we don’t have a chainsaw or anything that could cut through that. If you had access to tools, SO could help.
If the other commenter is in round rock, I believe they have a local tool rental that they may be able to get a chainsaw through.
