Sometimes we think we’re in control of our gardens.
We plan it.
We protect it.
We build cages, barriers, systems…
And then nature gently reminds us — it was never just ours.
Tonight, I went out at dusk to install a crop cage and protect my tomatoes from squirrels.
But instead, I found one of the baby rabbits… no longer so little anymore.
He was still.
I was still.
We saw each other… and understood.
And in that moment, I made a different choice.
Not everything needs to be controlled.
Some things are meant to be shared.
So I packed it up for the night and let him enjoy his penthouse garden.
Because sometimes the most powerful thing you can grow… is coexistence.
Happy garden 🌿
