Just moved in a rental property in Central West NSW. Need some recommendations on best way to deal with the lawn. Obviously looks to be multiple different species of grass. Plenty of weeds I’ve tried to take care of and spent some afternoons pulling them out. It gets watered every week, sometimes multiple times with weather depending. Gets mowed every 7-10 days. What’s best course of action? Thanks

Tough one. Due to the size, re-turfing or re-seeding probably isn’t realistic in the short term. So your best option is to understand what type of grass you have, spray for weeds, accept that a lot of the “lawn” will die, and slowly nurture the actual grass to fill in the dead spots.

If you have a common type of grass you could also overseed once the weeds have died down.

Rental property as in you don’t own? If you own, I’d put in a few garden beds. You could ask the owners permission if you don’t own if you could. I know of one YouTuber who puts on garden beds in their rental. Otherwise I would maybe throw some seed out, dirt, a little fertiliser. But mow first and call it done. Water more after seeding
