These bindies(?) Are growing rampant in my yard. We're on 5 acres and it's spreading. Hoping someone might be able to provide some advice on what I should do to get this under control please
I have tried digging them up, but there's too much so not very practical and fear I might miss some
Thank you

Get rid of it and the seeds, scrape and rake then poison, horrible weed. 3 corner jack is what it’s called in the NT
Poor you!
Khaki weed. Look for a broadleaf selective herbicide specific for your type of grass.
Spray now, and then in spring and summer before they set seeds/spike bits.
You’ve got a few years of pain ahead
There is a great chemical called Metsulfuron-methyl that works great on broadleaf weeds and doesn’t kill the grass. It’s low toxicity for mammals so no need to worry about pets and things, but it’s always best to at least let it try before letting any animals out.
It’s pretty slow acting, but it targets the roots of the plant to prevent it growing back.
Any broadleaf selective will work, but this is my go to one. This stuff even knocks out blackberries so it’s good stuff.
Rake up all the seeds as best you can when they die off. Or you could try pulling them out now and spray any regrowth before it goes to seed again next time.
Dicamba-M I would think would do it, though it’s not listed on the one I use. Casper has Khaki weed listed, as does 2,4-D Amine. I like [specialistsale.com.au](http://specialistsale.com.au) for chemicals, though farmers mailbox is also good.
Are they over the whole 5 acres?
Khaki weed is an indicator of low-fertile soil, specifically soils low in potassium, which will generally also be compacted. The weed utilises a long tap root which allows it to outcompete other plant species in these conditions.
Increasing organic matter – buy bails of hay and cover your area is one option – and also seeding competing native grasses, and plants will also introduce competition. If you have severely compact soil, it may pay to rip out some of the taproots across the area before covering with hay.
Get a pet goat?
Khaki burr, the utter, utter bastard. The first time I saw this, lush and green, with the burrs looking like tiny flowers, I pulled off my shoes and ran barefoot….
Roundup is king!!
