Calathea I’ve had for maybe 6 months. Definitely temperamental, a few crispy brown edges but producing new growth frequently.
All existing leaves and new growth are displaying this white speckled look – almost dusty but isn’t and suspect it isn’t mildew or similar as it can’t be wiped off.
Watered with rainwater with seaweed fertiliser every 4 – 6 weeks or so.
Thoughts on the issue?

That looks like pest damage. Do you see any webbing? Anything hiding underneath the leaves? My first instinct with a stippled looking leaf is spider mites.
