We had a bird build one on our front door wreath while we were away on vacation.
All the opening and closing of the door was disturbing her, so we carefully moved the whole wreath to the wall beside the door and she had her babies there 💙

Easy bet is that it’s a mourning dove or Carolina wren, my guess is wren based on that nesting material. They’ll be there a month or two, but the bonus is watching the babies.

Keep all cats and dogs away from the area, or fence it off somehow. If you don’t your patience and anticipation for however many weeks will end in tragedy.
