Hi all, I’ve often come to this thread for ideas and research but haven’t posted until the other day when I got an owl visitor to my tree! I wanted to share my front yard revamp I worked on in the fall – we wanted to remove our grass and create a space for butterflies, bees, birds, lizards, you name it. At the beginning, this felt daunting, so I guess this post is more to encourage you to push through. The yard has come alive this spring and I couldn’t be happier! All the sweat and digging was worth it.
I included a pics from before for comparison!

Damn this is gorgeous. I’d estimate this is like a 10-15k upgrade ?
Looks great!!! Who did you use for the metal edging?
Did you design this yourself?
Dang!! This looks great!
Hi! I am looking at doing a similar thing with raised metal planters/borders like that in front of a bay window, with stone around it. Can I ask where you got the metal from? How deep did it go? I will have to modify my irrigation for this project.
Very impressive! Great taste 👌
The outcome is stunning. The amount of work here is incredible- congratulations! And I loved the owl photo!
