I have been working on cleaning up my grandparents old garden. One is in care and the other has passed but I have moved in with my parents on the property. The garden has been ignored for years and I am a bit clueless on what is what.

Can anyone ID this flower? I assume it's a rose because of its look and my grandparents love of roses, but I'm not sure. If anyone can identify the exact type that would also be appreciated. Thank you!

I have no idea but I usually reverse image search on Google when I’m in the garden.

Also, I inherited my mums home after she passed and it’s genuinely so healing pottering in the same soil she did, caring for the plants she planted and my son playing in the shade of the trees she planted. It’s a big garden and a work in progress, I’ve planted a lot of new things but there’s so much of my mum’s work all around me. It’s such a beautiful connection with her, I hope you feel your grandparents all around you when you’re out there 💙
