We’ve finally entered our 3rd spring here so all the early work is finally paying off. My red flowering currants are putting on quite the show, from a soft blush to a raging magenta, which looks awesome with how I have them clustered.

The tiny white blooms of the osoberry have been lighting up the shaded parts of the forest and they look like little fairies dancing in the shadows.

I’m just waiting on the camas to start. They’re just sprouting up in my flower beds and I’m looking forward to the sea of blue. I have about 150 of them, so it’s quite a sight.

So far just Bloodroot, Lyre Leaved Rock Cress, Hepatica, and Red Maple but Virginia Bluebells and Jacob’s Ladder should open any day now.

Nothing because it’s still cold and dumb here

Spring is not here, on the Canadian prairies. Expecting -16C (5F) over the next couple of nights. We are probably 3 weeks from anything green appearing, and the native anemone a week or two after that.

Denver checking in. Golden currants and alpine strawberries blooming nicely here! Harebells too though so far only for my neighbors, mine haven’t started yet.
