How long is too long for a succulent to have wet soil? I watered one three days ago by bottom watering and check it today and the soil is still damp. The pot has plenty of drainage holes and it stays in a lit window. How long should it be before its a concern?

I watered it because it was a bit limp and its been dry and now its watered its all nice and perky… but now i fear the root rot.

What are the bumps? Is it caused by the excess water? Yeah you need a well draining soil. I always put a couple bigger stones at the bottom, by the drainage hole, so the soil doesn’t clog the drain too. Did you use a cactus/succulent soil? Is it warm enough to put outside? Maybe try that for a day & then re-pot if it still doesn’t dry out.

The soil should dry out pretty quickly. I would change to grittier soil with extra pumice and make sure it gets a lot of light. Brighter light will help the plant process water faster.
