Hi everyone!
I’m looking for some help for my Drosanthemum globosum plants – I don't think they're having the best time now…
I started these from seed almost a year ago in May 2025. Some of them had a great start, were nice and green, and the two biggest ones even grew some flowers! However, over the last few months in winter, I’ve noticed the leaves on the larger plants starting to dry out, and the trend hasn't stopped yet.
I’m also a bit torn on their growth habit: they look a little etiolated to me, but I’m afraid of accidentally burning them if I move the lights closer – maybe the dried leaves are even because I have them too close to the grow lamps?
My current setup:
Are they stretching for more light, or is the drying a sign of something else? Is it just because of winter? Even though I keep them indoors, it can get down to 17-18°C for a few hours after opening the window for fresh air.
Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has experience with these succulents. Thanks so much in advance!
