I’m starting a planted tank and want my plants to thrive, but I don’t wanna blind my isopods when I decide to get them. The tank is next to a couple other ecospheres I have going which is increasing the lighting in some areas, so I split up the pictures with each light on so it’s easier to see.
Pictures 1 & 2: All lights on; grow light in front, supplemental light in back, and tank light to the side
Picture 3: supplemental light only (not for plant growth)
Picture 4: tank light only (aquatic plant light)
Picture 5: grow light only

Don’t know the actual specs, but I can confirm that isopods really dislike high light levels. If you give them plenty of hiding places they should be ok.
I’ve got grow lights in mine, and there’s always little buggos out wandering around. They do have a bunch of places to get away from the light if they want
