killed the weedy lawn and put down about 8 tons of gravel and the seeded half a million seeds I stratified in the fridge. irrationally worried nothing will germinate. Wish me luck!

  1. I would add more larger signs. All that work, I’ve read too many horror stories here.

Keep the update posts coming! Love to see that first year flush.

  3. Put up temporary fencing. I’m serious. You’re going to have a ton of doggies pawing at the gravel. At least some stakes and tape.

Good luck if your neighbors are zealous chemical sprayers. I love catching round-up and spectracide runoff /s

I’ll be honest and say that the gravel really worries me. It’s basically an anti-soil, so seeds alone don’t have very good chances. Generally what you would need to do is buy or grow plugs and dig holes for them so that they have good access to soil.
