Following up on my previous post on this sub about a support for my little Monstera, I finally opted for a moss pole and just finished setting it up. Does everything look correct to you?
Wowzers! 😍 Amazing specimen with so much potential for growth! Your installation looks good. How your setup? Light levels? Humidity? Air circulation?
I went back and forth on the types of climbing aids. Four sphagnum moss poles, six cedar planks and twenty bamboo sticks are all helping to support climbing vines. Outcomes in plant health, increased size and rate of new leaves unfurling are similar. Going forward, I much prefer the aesthetics and low-maintenance approach of cedar planks and wood poles. I am trying metal trellises next for my experiment.🤗
Not a fan of moss poles they are a lot of maintenance.
I definitely need to get some cedar wood planks I would make my own I like those someone posted above
