Speaking from personal experience, they are a lot easier than people make it out to be. 70/30-80/20 grit/soil ratio, LOTS of light, I have a Gary love panel light about 8 inches away from mine getting 12 hours of light a day. And do not have a watering schedule, water when they are squishy and or when the window on the pearl starts getting thin. And make sure to be tucking those strings back into the top to help it get thicker up top. YOU CAN DO IT!

  5. I recommend bottom watering too. Soak it really well, let it drain, then put back in the cache pot if you use one. Then let it dry out again. Like everyone else says, watch the windows (little slit in each pearl) and when it starts to close it’s time to soak it again. And make sure the light reaches the top of the pot. You got this!!

Good luck Bought my first one about two months ago. I celebrate each week that it lives. Just bought a small pot of the variegated pearls. Guess I needed more stress in my life.
