It’s native to me in NC! Yesterday I saw two yellow swallowtails on mine, and the day before I saw a black swallowtail. So pretty and exciting!

So beautiful when over a fence in full bloom. Trying to proprigate some right now.
State flower of South Carolina and one of the first native flowers to bloom in spring. Only native plant that blooms before it in my yard is red maple and it gives the daffodils a run for their money.
Looking forward to when mine wake up. They took a lot of snow damage this winter and need to grow back.
