





These were found in the Ishizuchi mountain range in Japan.
Even within the same area, there seems to be quite a bit of variation in rosette shape and coloration.
Interestingly, snails seem to love them and often feed on the leaves.
Iām curious if others have seen similar variation or herbivory in wild populations.
Some individuals appear to be recovering after snail damage, showing interesting regrowth patterns.
