Mom brought it home and gave it to me without a tag or care instructions the other day. I've never had a bamboo plant before and I'm getting very mixed results when trying to find any info online. How can I help this thing not die?

We had one flourish- we gave lots of indirect sunlight, it was in pebbles or tiny rocks and we just kept it full of water
I’m surprised it did so well knowing what I know now but it’s worth a shot
I got something similar for Lunar New Year.
I put it in a jar with rocks And water…seems to be doing well and I’m seeing lots of root growth.
Doesn’t even have good light.
