Lidl’s ‘middle aisle,’ similar to Aldi’s ‘Specialbuy’ section, is an ever-changing aisle in the centre of Lidl supermarkets, stocked with a surprise selection of items ranging from power tools and air fryers to gardening supplies and homeware.
Stock in the middle of the store generally changes every Thursday and Sunday, with shoppers seeing a host of new items introduced. This week Lidl is introducing a new selection of garden items including benches and storage boxes. There will also be new plants, kitchenware and car maintenance tools.
Lidl’s health and wellness range will see blood pressure machines, massage guns, heat pads and more.
Plants
Lidl is bringing new plants to the Middle Aisle this Thursday (March 19). There are citrus plants including lemon, calamondin, and kumquat for £12.99 (small) or £22.99 (large). Olive trees are £14.99.
Outdoor plants include Grandifloras, Rhododendrons and Hydrangeas. There are indoor plants plants too in jute or ceramic pots.
Shoppers will also find bark chips, lawn seed, compost and grow bags plus seeds starting from 29p.
Garden
Over 60 Middle of Lidl products will form part of this week’s Garden Event starting on Thursday.
For outdoor storage Lidl is selling the Livarno Garden Storage Bench (£89.99) and the Livarno 280L Garden Storage Box (£29.99)
Decorations and lighting can be found from £4.99 for solar lights. Shoppers will also find the Livarno Cordless LED Outdoor Table Lamp With Cylindrical Shade for £9.99 and ornaments in the shape of birds and lighthouses
For outdoor dining there is the Livarno Bistro Set which comes with a table and two chairs for £54.99.
Gardening tools include rakes, bulb planters, trowels, shovels and hoes for £1.99. Shoppers will also find pots, gloves, trellis, decking, outdoor rugs, ropes, garden wire, spray guns and garden netting.
Kitchen
Over 30 kitchen items will be coming to the Middle Aisle from Thursday.
Lidl’s top pick is the six piece Silvercrest Stainless Steel Pan Set which is £19.99. There is also a Silvercrest Rectangular Oven Dish for £3.99 plus other glass dishes, ramekins and mixing bowls
Shoppers will find Russell Hobbs items including kettles, two-slice toasters and frying pans.
There are also chopping boards, egg slicers, apple corers, salt and pepper mills, dicers, oil dispensers, cork screws and garlic presses.
For baking there is a selection of cake and pie moulds from £2.99 and shoppers will also find an array of food storage containers.
Health and wellness
Lidl will be selling health and wellness items from Sunday (March 22) including their top pick which is a Vitalmaxx Mini Massage Gun (£11.99).
Shoppers will also find blood pressure monitors, back and knee supports, orthopaedic pillows and heat patches.
Car
Over 35 car tools and car cleaning products will be available from Sunday.
Lidl’s top pick is a Karcher KHD 4 High Pressure Washer for £149.99. For other big cleaning jobs there is the Parkside Carpet Cleaner for £59.99.
Tools include wrenches, LED lights, battery chargers, ratchets, pressure gauges, compressors and portable jump starters.
There will also be car mats, high vis vests, fire extinguishers, air fresheners, car cleaning solutions, and oil and rust remover sprays.
