I've had these snake props in a little glass jar for like a year and a half or so. I haven't put them into soil because I'm scared they'll die. Somebody please tell me how to do this properly or if I should just keep them in the water. Help lol

  1. They look good to go. I use 50/50 fast draining cactus soil and regular potting soil and all my props do fine. You may need to water them thoroughly a bit more often until they “take” but after a month or so they’ll be ok.

The thing to know is that it is very hard to kill a snake plant. I propagated a bunch in December by putting the cuttings in dirt, and they all have pups under the soil (i peeked). 2 have broken through. They are slow growers.

I legit dig a slit in my snake plants potting soil and popped it in. Still there and going strong.

Those look like very happy and ready to be planted and shipped to me props. 😬 Seriously tho, they look great!

Plant them in succulent soil with extra grit mixed in & treat it like a succent with bright indirect like, water only when the soil is very dry. Nice job on propping those!

Pur them in soil, water them real good once and kinda forget about them for a few months. They take a second to start growing in soil but they dont need much water so you can kinda neglect them
