Couple things I want to check myself on…

  1. Got mine about a week ago and have played with placement in my house. Quickly learned all my southern facing windows are shaded by a giant tree so it’s in an east facing window with some indirect southern exposure. Think that will do?
  2. Was planning to water once a week in the shower but touched the soil today and it still felt moist so holding off. Is that right?

  3. Biggest unknown for me is shaping. Most of the mature flf’s I’ve seen seem to have one main stem with branches coming off of it. Mine looks like it has multiple branches coming from the soil. If it’s better to have 1 main branch, how do I choose which one to keep? I also am wondering if there’s a benefit to tree vs bush shape. I know nothing about pruning but am sure I can look at past posts to learn more about that.

Thanks for any input!

Can we see a picture? “Multiple branches coming from the soil” makes me think it might be more than one plant.

Depends on where you are and how much sun that eastern window gets. I’m in Minnesota and my east windows definitely wouldn’t have enough light for my FLFs. Your best bet would be to supplement with a grow light.
