I've had these cuttings from an old Adansonii in water for about 5-6 months. I wanted to plant them when the roots started to get too long, but I was told to wait until winter is over. I change the water about once a week and they are in a sunny spot with indirect light. We are in a cold city, but the house is usually warm. They have all kinds of spots in the leaves and I don't know if it's because they have been in water for too long, if they get too much sun or if they have a pest. I haven’t seen anything crawling around, just some white flakes that look similar to dandruff. Can anyone give me a hand? This is the first plant I propagate.

I would say those are ready for soil. If the pest you are referring to is thrips, then I doubt it. Thrips need soil to complete their life cycle and your plants aren’t in soil so I think it’s more likely to be environmental factors causing the issue, perhaps low humidity or temperature shock. I would put them in a chunky soil mix and see if they recover. It could be that the roots need more space. Good luck!
