I just started an indoor hydroponic herb garden, and the instructions say “after the seeds germinate, keep only one seedling.” Here’s an example of one dill pod: it has five sprouts—does that mean I yank out four of them, or does a seedling involve multiple sprouts?

Yes it means to pick your favorite and yank out the other 4. Also, those look a little leggy, you may want a brighter or closer light.

You look and see which one is strongest/healthiest and snip the others so you only leave one.

Yes, pull the others. The one will grow much faster than it would in just dirt and you will get overwhelmed. Herbs seem to thrive very well in Hydro, and you use less of fresh herbs over dried. We harvest ours weekly, needed or not!
