I saw this beautiful tree on a walk and wanted to find out what kind of tree it is. Is it possible to grow it if I cut a small branch? Or should I use some of the seed pods? I’ve never tried growing a tree from the branch so could someone explain how to do that? Thanks!! 😊

Maybe Redbud? I don’t see any of the seed pods you mention but it would likely have some old ones on there still.

It’s an Eastern Redbud and it’s not yours, so why on earth would you think it appropriate to remove a branch from it?
Likely Cercis canadensis. Eastern redbud. If you wait another couple months, you could get some seed pods. I dont know about its openness to vegetative propagation.
Redbud. They don’t propagate well from cuttings, they’re fairly cheap 20-30$ or even 10$ in the winter.
