TODAY”S VIDEO: In this video I share a front yard landscape design before and after using ProLandscape design software. I start with the before photo, go over the bed size and site conditions, and then walk through the planting plan step by step.
You’ll see how I built the design starting with evergreens, then deciduous shrubs, and finally perennials to create four seasons of interest with color and texture.
If you’re looking for front yard landscape design ideas, planting plan ideas, or inspiration for your own landscape, this will give you a look at how I approach designing a front yard garden.

Awesome design, Michelle! Thank you!
Beautiful design! I got a lot of inspiration and ideas from this. Thank you – I love this kind of content from you! Thanks for all of your hard work in making this for us!
It’s beautiful! What a helpful video! Our Texas summer nights are so warm, but I have a few ideas. A friend just asked me to help her with her front flower bed
I enjoy the before & after video of a real life situation to spark ideas. I was making notes as you were walking through the plants. We have a new home on a blank slate. A bit intimidating but I'm excited while I do my homework on how I want it landscapped.
Beautiful!
Hello Michelle!
The design time videos help me so much with understanding layers and combinations. Thanks Michelle.
Absolutely love this design! Gave me some great ideas. I’ve been trying to find a ruby slippers oak leaf hydrangea for a few years now and haven’t been successful. Can’t remember if you said if it is rabbit proof. I have another more generic oakleaf hydrangea that is a couple of years old but the bunnies chomped it almost to the ground this winter so sadly will not have any blooms this year.
Great design guidance and lots of inspiration!
Her yard looks really nice, you do such a professional job, I thought we were going to get to see you set it up,was looking forward to it!
It looks great. I love your design videos!
Always inspiring. Love it all!
Love it.. I have a friend that asked me to help plant her garden in front of her house. I think all these would work. And I can show her this so she can see all the plants in place. Thanks so much..😊
Will you be giving us an update once everything is planted? I’d love to see how it looks.
What a difference! Woweee! I love it, Michelle.
Well this was very timely Michele, I'm in the process of getting rid of some overgrown yew bushes..talk about 1990s landscaping, wish you could see mines! lol
Thank you Michelle for all the gardening tips and design ideas you share. I am looking forward to tending my garden and have already chosen some new shrubs to plant this spring. Love your designs. XX 💖💖

I really liked this design and the trees, brushes and perennials you chose . I have some of them like the birds nest spruce and the blue juniper here in Michigan zone 6. They grow well for me .
