Ive been bugging my local plant shop about a smaller San Pedro since discovering they carried them. But all were much larger than I wanted to start with. Finally they got a shipment of smaller ones in, and set one aside for me.
Been wanting one of these for a few years now! Excited for the first pot upgrade, which probably meeds to happen soon judging by the roots popping out the bottom.

My best advice is be prepared to get a lot more!
Firstly, I’m gonna recommend putting it in a fabric pot when you repot it. Secondly, I’m gonna recommend checking out r/sanpedrocactusforsale so you can get additional affordable ones that are different for your next plants
Let grow and propagate. Started with three cactus 🌵. .. now more than il can handle

Welcome! There are quite a few of us here in the PNW that grow. I’m near Olympia and have lots of 1 year old seedling of various crosses. Bridgesii, peruvianus and pachanoi hybrids. If you are interested in growing more DM me and I’ll send you some if you cover shipping. I have been having way too much fun growing from seed and can’t keep them all. Looks like you have the Predominant cultivar “PC”. They will grow well and are pretty resilient. It depends on if you will be growing this outside during our summers or inside as to the make up of soil, but well draining with pumice is a good start. I grow in a greenhouse so they only get water when I give it to them so pot type and soil aren’t nearly as crucial. Lots of good info here if you search the threads. Happy growing!
