Title. I think I see some timy root growth but I'm still not sure. They're actively shooting out leaves though, should I trim them or leave them alone? Cuttings are in water, water changed daily
Leave them be. And you dont need to change the water daily. Doing the same thing rn. Didnt change anything in 2 weeks, just added some water again.

My wife does this on a regular basis. She puts them in a jar with water and leaves them outside in the weather. If the water isn’t getting refilled with rain she will top up the jar from the rain barrel.
My observations. The more brackish and green the water turns the better. Rain water is the better option. Tap water does the job but the cutting seems to take longer to spring roots. Take way more cuttings than you need. Even if they all take, some will never produce anything more than suckers. The simpler the rose the better chance of success. We have a climbing rose here from cuttings that we can trace back to my great great grandmother’s garden. It became a family tradition to take cuttings from and continue growing when you moved in to your first home.
